The research finds that children with low intelligence are more likely to hold prejudiced attitudes as adults. These findings point to a vicious cycle, according to lead researcher Gordon Hodson, a psychologist at Brock University in Ontario. Low-intelligence adults tend to gravitate toward socially conservative ideologies, the study found. Those ideologies, in turn, stress hierarchy and resistance to change, attitudes that can contribute to prejudice, Hodson wrote in an email to LiveScience.

WOW how about prejudice against folks with mental difficulties? FUCK THIS. Smart people damage the world much MORE than “dumb” people. You ever think those with difficulties may develop prejudice not because they’re stupid but because they’re treated like this? To have everyone constantly talking down to you, make fun of you, act like they’re better than you, etc.? If someone lacks analysis or capacity for analysis in the same way that other people do, it is those who MANIPULATE them (politicians, the media) that are responsible for the consequences. I call bullshit. Also, how fucking convenient for those with mental advantages to say oh, and on top of life being easier for me, i’m also a better person, and therefor am entitled to the advantages i have.
